Alpine Honda Civic Si - Civic Demonstration
More Goodies
While Yato and Brown were working on the installation, other companies were working behind the scenes in order to prepare the Civic for show season, namely Wings West. During construction, the Civic left Alpine headquarters several times in order to be fitted for other tuner parts. One of the most noticeable exterior features is the Wings West G-55 body kit. The kit includes extreme fender flares, lower midwing and upper roof spoiler, upper and lower front grills, smoked tail lights, and side markers. AEM products include a big brake kit front and rear, spark plug covers, and an air intake. Providing a subtle drop of one inch is an Eibach Pro Kit. Swift model two-piece wheels (19x8), manufactured by I Forged, are custom painted in blue. Toyo T1-S tires (235/35-19) keep the Civic firmly connected to the road. Sparco pedals and shift knob highlight the interior.
Southern California artist Noah performed the custom airbrushed artwork on the exterior. The airbrush theme flows to the interior and covers almost all the panels that Yato and Brown fabricated. Trublue Pearl from House of Kolor was used as the base paint. Aside from the airbrush art, the Alpine team performed all of the paintwork itself.
The project took about six months to complete - 3500 man-hours - with the bulk of the work done mostly by Yato and Brown. They did have some help from Rino Odorico of Alpine Canada and Vahik Voskanian, Product Application Specialist out of Torrance, CA. As you can see, the Alpine team has raised the bar even further. "This Honda Civic Si is the epitome of what an automotive enthusiast show car should be," states Stephen Witt, Alpine's VP of Brand Marketing. We're not going to argue with Mr. Witt - we absolutely agree!
