Mobile Technical Training
Mobile Technical Training is one of the few mobile electronic installation schools on the East Coast. Established in 2001, Syntec is approved by the Department of Education in the state of New Jersey. The school offers students the latest cutting-edge technology through full- or part-time courses. The curriculum takes 256 hours and students can choose either eight weeks full-time or 16 weeks part-time. Students are educated in classes that are run by MECP-certified instructors and that have a 12-to-1 student-teacher ratio. Syntec is located in an 8,000-square-foot building (fully air-conditioned) with separate classroom, workshop, and a custom-built product installation stand. There is also a 3,000-square-foot installation bay where students obtain hands-on installation experience. Students at Mobile Technical Training are taught basic math equations, industry terminology, shop safety, basic and advanced sound system design, automotive security systems, navigation systems and state-of-the-art customizing, blending textbook knowledge and hands-on experience to provide a superior level of education and installation know-how. A graduate of Mobile Technical Training will have several career options: installer, sales representative, future shop owner or certified shop owner. He or she will have completed and successfully passed the Mobile Electronic Certified Professional examination. As a certified installer, you can command a higher-entry level position in this field.

To Enroll
Must be at least 17 years old on or before the first day of class. Students must possess a high school diploma or General Education Development Certificate (G.E.D.).

Course Frequency/Class Hours
Five times a year for full-time day classes
Three times a year for part-time classes
Ten weeks = 320hours: Monday-Thursday, 9am-5pm
Twenty weeks = 320 hours: Monday-Thursday, 6pm-10pm
Twenty-six Weeks = 206 hours: Saturday + 120 Upholstery Optional at nights or Saturday

Staff
All instructors are MECP Certified and have plenty of real work experience. Other members of the staff have degrees in science and education.
