Real-world car audio means you don't fabricate a whole new trunk for your daily driver. It means that things should be integrated well and not too conspicuous

Readers have asked for more examples of vehicles that car audio enthusiasts could drive that were both stealthy and bold. That's exactly the idea behind the system in this '03 Mazda Protg 5. This full setup is out of sight but definitely not out of hearing range.

We found C.J. Morse of Tiburon, CA, an experienced installer with a penchant for stealthy installs to work on our Mazda. Morse has a knack for squeezing large amounts of equipment into tight spaces. He was able to get a full Kenwood A/V setup while keeping almost all of the trunk space.

Aftermarket audio was just one of the goals of this system. Beyond great sound, GPS navigation was a key ingredient in the mix. With high gas prices, who can afford to get lost these days? Plus, the GPS would be a perfect complement to a robust audio system on long vacations to new places.
