7-Inch Double-Din Multimedia Receiver Features Superior Connectivity

Text Size

JVC Mobile has added a double-din nav/multimedia source unit a 7-inch touchscreen, the KD-NX7000. It has a detachable faceplate, a proximity sensor for illuminating control keys when your hand approaches and built-in memory data storage for quick start-up, fast search. The KD-NX7000 employs Navteq data and offers real-time traffic info via an RDS tuner. You get 12 POIs and POI Sync dialing when connected with the KS-BTA200 Bluetooth adapter. In addition to Bluetooth, the unit is ready for rear-view camera, CD changer, and HD Radio and satellite radio. It has a USB port and SD memory card slot. With the KS-U20 adapter cable, you have high-speed iPod connectivity. Another feature I like is Dolby Headphone. Here are some other specs: MOSFET 50W x 4, 7-Band iEQ, 5V line/subwoofer output level, high-pass filter, and gold-plated AV input and output terminals. JVC Mobile hasn't announced a price or product shipping date yet. Stay tuned.
